Q: Your mission is all about helping women feel their best through effortless style. How do you translate “resort vibes” into wearable looks for life in North Carolina?
“When selecting pieces, I think about how a woman can live in them—whether she’s heading to brunch, work, or just wants to feel put together at home,” Ashley explains. “The goal is that perfect combination of relaxed and elevated. We designed the shop itself to feel like you’ve stepped into a vacation—so even if you’re just running errands in Cary, you leave feeling refreshed.”
For Ashley, “laid-back luxury” means natural fabrics (linens, breathable cottons) that travel from day to night, neutral palettes with pops of Mediterranean color, and silhouettes that flatter without fuss.
“It’s not about trends—it’s about pieces that make you feel like you, just a more confident version,” she adds.

Q: What drew Villa 19 to Downtown Cary? How does the neighborhood’s energy align with your brand?
“Downtown Cary has this wonderful mix of Southern charm and cosmopolitan energy—it reminded me of the neighborhoods I loved overseas,” says Ashley. “There’s a sense of community here, but also an appreciation for design and aesthetics. Our clients might be grabbing coffee at Brew or dining at Peck & Plume, but they all share that desire to look polished without trying too hard.”
The relocation wasn’t just about square footage; it was about finding a location that matched Villa 19’s ethos. “In Apex, we built a loyal following. Now in Cary, we’re meeting women who’ve been craving this exact style: relaxed but intentional.”

Imagine a sunset shopping night with wine from a local vendor, or a styling workshop at the Cary Arts Center. It’s about creating moments.”
