Clean Plate Restaurants operates twelve restaurants across four states. Some residents might recognize another Clean Plate Restaurant in our area, downtown Raleigh’s Sono Sushi. However, Zest promises to offer a different menu with more raw and other seafood options and will include sushi rolls, small plates, raw oysters, sandwiches and larger entrees – along with a full bar and craft cocktails. Additional concepts from Clean Plate Restaurants include Lola’s Burger & Tequila Bar and Moon Dog Pie House. The group is currently exploring the possibility of adding a Lola’s to Downtown Cary as well.
The restaurant group sees promise and possibility with the rapid growth and atmosphere offered in and around Downtown Cary. According to their website, the group’s restaurants average around $2.4 million in annual sales, compared to the industry average of $849,000. Zest will fill a 3,000-square-foot space and offer guests patio seating as well.
