Uplifting Local Businesses At Cary Founded’s Grand Opening

On April 5th, Cary Founded held its Grand Opening alongside partners, sponsors and community members. The Grand Opening truly celebrated Cary Founded’s new home in Downtown Cary through a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Cary Chamber of Commerce, Bond Brothers serving complimentary beer, Chatham Street Wine serving complimentary wine, Gluten-Free and Vegan desserts from Sweet Cherry Bakery in Cary, and balloon decorations from Ginger Pop Balloons. With the excitement of the Grand Opening, we spoke with Cary Founded Director Rebekah Gregg about her role and Cary Founded’s place in the Downtown Cary community.

Can you talk a little bit about you and your role at Cary Founded?

I’m the Director here at Cary Founded, so I’m your go-to for all things Cary Founded related. I handle marketing, leasing, tours, events, community relations, memberships and more. You can usually find me on the third floor at Cary Founded in the main coworking space. My background is in Event Planning and Tourism, so I started out at Raleigh Founded 3 years ago as the Events and Marketing Manager and worked weddings on the side for many years before transitioning over to Cary Founded. A lot of the skills I gained in the hospitality and events industry have translated directly to the work that I’m doing now in Cary and I’m excited to continue to use these to make a positive impact on the community.

What makes Downtown Cary the perfect community for Cary Founded?

Downtown Cary has had an entrepreneurial presence for many years now, but business owners have been commuting into Raleigh or Durham to get plugged into the ecosystem. Having the physical space now allows us to create a community landing spot right here in Downtown Cary as the area continues to develop. We’re nestled in the perfect spot, within walking distance from the park, new housing developments, and so many amazing restaurants and small businesses, that it just makes sense to have a space for entrepreneurs and remote workers to collaborate.

What sets Cary Founded apart as a coworking space?

The main thing that sets our brand apart is our connection to the community. Our goal is to uplift local businesses and entrepreneurs, which we do everyday in small ways. By having local vendors on tap for our coffee and beer, hosting mission-driven events in our space, and being out and about in the local community, we really pride ourselves on making a positive impact with the work that we do. The space is also filled with a lot of natural light and big plants, which is great for productivity and mental health. We have a lot of amazing companies in our space that are doing work that uplifts others and it’s just a really fun environment to meet like-minded individuals from all walks of life.

Anything else you would like to add?

We offer coworking memberships and office spaces, but we also rent the space out for events! If anyone is interested in a tour, office space, event rentals, or coworking, they can send me an email at info@caryfounded.com for more information.
