The Barefoot Movement officially formed in North Carolina in 2006, after front woman Noah Wall met mandolinist Tommy Norris in high school and discovered a convergence of aligned passions. That initial crackle of intensity never waned and instead became the force catalyzing the band through its various iterations. Today, the Barefoot Movement is comprised of Noah Wall—whose powerhouse vocals, songwriting, and fiddle playing serve as the backbone of the band — mandolinist Tommy Norris, and upright bassist Katie Blomarz rounding out their unique blend of charming, modern roots music. The Barefoot Movement integrates bluegrass, blues, folk, rock, country and pop into music that’s delightfully fresh. Shows feature original songs and reimagined cover tunes with tight three-part harmonies and hot instrumentals. Tickets and information |

Rachel may be best known as the former guitarist and singer-songwriter from bluegrass string phenom Twisted Pine, but it is in her recent venture as a solo artist that we are beginning to fully recognize her dynamism as a writer and performer. Whether she’s fronting her new band of lush, low-voiced strings or appearing with only a guitar, you’ll be mesmerized by her elegantly intricate arrangements and captivated by the delivery of each and every word. Rachel is both a Willie Nelson and a Patsy Cline of indie-folk-writing the heartfelt but catchy songs and conveying their emotional complexity with candor and an achingly beautiful yodel. It is her diverse love of pop, classical, country and everything in between that she draws upon to synthesize into her own unique sound. "Though Sumner has roots in both the bluegrass and classical worlds, this is true-blue singer-songwriter folk through and through, too: achingly clear, and wide open to the world, with twang and tenderness enough to carry us through the fire of an unusually difficult year" - Cover Lay Down Tickets and information |

Elevate your evenings with the vibrant rhythm of CaryLive! Join us at Downtown Cary Park for a captivating concert series, where the stage is set for memorable musical moments. Free and open to the public, this enchanting experience welcomes all to come together, enjoy the rhythms, and bask in the beauty of community and music under the stars. Don’t lose this feeling.’” The duo built a lush but understated soundscape around the unfiltered performance to create a recording–mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer Craig Alvin (Kacey Musgraves, Real Estate) at Nobel Steed Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL–that feels like a memory unfolding in real time. “The song is about what happens when you keep chasing a new horizon but can’t shake what you left behind,” says Crossingham. “You can hear that tension in the way it breathes—it never tries to be perfect; it just feels honest.” “Gold Coast” is out now alongside a video crafted by acclaimed editor Jessica Ledoux (Netflix’s All the Light We Cannot See, HBO’s Vinyl), who wove together years of McLamb and Crossingham’s own camera footage into a deeply personal visual collage. “This video isn’t about us as a band; it’s about everything that makes life worth writing songs about,” says McLamb. Crossingham adds, “The song and video feel … |
