She has performed at such notable events as the Democratic National Convention as well as several reputable theaters and jazz clubs across the Carolinas. Her vocals and arrangements weave through a tapestry of genres, including pop, jazz, blues, gospel and country. Also an actress and film composer, Carrie can be seen in the films “War Room” and “Changeover”, where she also won Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for Best Score (Love International Film Festival, Beverly Hills). Her recent release of the Dolly Parton classic, “Jolene”, recently won a Bronze Award for the Best Cover Song by WAM Indie Awards in November of 2023.

In recognition of Women's History Month, join presenter Carla Jordan Michaels for a trip through history highlighting women who had an impact on Cary from the late 1700s to the present. Rescheduled after a tropical storm in the fall, the Farmers Spring Festival will take place along South Academy Street and in the new Downtown Cary Park. There will be live music on the main stage, a kids performance area, fun games and interactive exhibits, local food and craft beer, art & crafts and a mid-day pie-eating contest.
