It’s the ‘new school’ live action film that YOU picked as the final movie during January’s Oscar Nominee Showdown! Enjoy a screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (PG-13). When the charming rogue Captain Jack Sparrow arrives in Port Royal, he teams up with blacksmith Will Turner to rescue the governor’s daughter, Elizabeth Swann, who has been kidnapped by cursed pirates aboard the Black Pearl. These undead buccaneers, doomed to live forever, cannot feel or die, and only the return of stolen treasure can break their curse. Adventure, sword fights, and supernatural intrigue set sail in this swashbuckling pirate tale. Come early to enjoy pre-screening activities for all ages, making it a perfect night out for everyone. The film begins about 8:10 p.m. at the Great Lawn Pavilion. Grab your cushions, blankets, and chairs for ultimate comfort as you settle in to enjoy the film. Food trucks will also be on site.
