Dragons, Dumplings, & Downtown – Taste of China Festival

This Saturday, Downtown Cary is getting a whole lot more delicious. The 6th Annual Taste of China Food and Culture Festival is back, bringing a day of food, performances, and community to town!

Hosted by the Chinese American Friendship Association of North Carolina in partnership with the Town of Cary, the festival has grown into one of the Triangle’s largest cultural events. Whether you’re a food lover, a culture enthusiast, or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, there’s something here for you!

When and Where

Saturday, November 7th, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Downtown Cary Park.

Come Hungry

Dozens of vendors will be serving up Chinese and Asian dishes. A few to look out for:

  • Miss Chang An, with hand-pulled noodles and roujiamo (Chinese flatbread sandwiches) from Xi’an
  • China Spice Girls, with Sichuan-style cold noodles, best paired with their spicy watermelon juice
  • Golden K Dog, a family-owned stand serving Korean corn dogs
  • Taipei 101, right here on East Chatham Street, bringing its lamb skewers to the festival
  • Meet Fresh, with Taiwanese desserts like taro balls and shaved ice
  • Kawaii Kids, a stand run by kids (with a little help from their parents) selling mango lassi and iced candied fruit skewers

You’ll also find bubble tea, ramen, sushi, hotpot, and more. Check out the full list of food vendors and non-food vendors, including arts, crafts, and community booths.

Performances All Day

The Main Stage will be packed with performances from local schools, dance troupes, and community groups, while the Joy Stage runs its own lineup at the same time. Here are a few Main Stage highlights:
