The New Kids on the Block – Coming Attractions to Downtown

Downtown Cary has come a long way over the last handful of years. The opening of the Downtown Cary Park, the expansion of businesses off of Chatham Street, and new parking decks, to name a few.

And in the near future, two new restaurants and a bookstore are expected to open! This blog will give you the latest details on these new spots you can get excited to visit soon!

K38 Baja Grill

K38 is a Carolina chain proud of its Mexican Food, surfing influences, and margaritas! Cary will be their seventh and newest location, right on Chatham Street. You can expect favorites such as chips, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and more.

At this time, there isn’t an exact opening date, but K38 says they are expecting to open sometime this summer. If you are impatient, one of their locations is in Raleigh (20 Seaboard Ave. Suite B 110, Raleigh, NC) if you want a taste of what’s to come.

To stay up to date and be one of the first to visit the new location, follow them on Instagram and check out their website!

Lloyd’s Full Service

Construction has been ongoing at the corner of Chatham and Academy Street to bring new life to the old service station (it has been here since 1951!). Soon in August, it’ll be reborn as Lloyd’s Full Service, a local restaurant that preserves the charm of the original gas station.

It has been building hype for its prime location and gorgeous patio.

Based on a report by Raleigh Magazine, future patrons can “expect a casual, approachable dinner menu to start—think salt and vinegar fish fry, linguine with clams, seasonal salads, and breakfast-for-dinner—with lunch and weekend brunch launching this fall.”

Juliet Books

Are you ready to hit the books? Because Juliet Books will be ready for you when they open on July 28!

Juliet Books will be a local, indie bookstore offering books for adults and children alike, a selection of used books, coffee, and even gifts! This shop is the passion project of Marcie Montague and her business partner, Kristine Seawall, who are Downtown Cary regulars.

Juliet books can be found off of Chatham Street (200 Parkthrough Street, Cary, North Carolina 27511) and you can attend their ribbon-cutting opening on July 28 @ 10 am to become one of the first customers!
