Silver Screen Showcase

The Cary Theater hosts the Cary Film Festival this week!

The festival, October 7-10, is called BEYOND and it will feature 35 independently produced short films, and the chance for the filmmakers and audience to participate in workshops.

CHECK OUT THE CARY THEATER’S WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION

The 35 films will compete in the festival as well, each will be shown in the theater with workshops and Q&A sessions with the filmmakers. It’s a great chance to showcase their work, and celebrate a great setting for the festival, downtown Cary and the Cary Theater.

The theater website goes deeper on the meaning behind the name BEYOND:

The roots of our theater slogan “Beyond Ordinary” originate from the Town’s name from the late 1700s as Bradford’s Ordinary. It represents our mission of providing a unique setting to experience affordable art house cinema here in downtown Cary.

We go above and beyond to celebrate the art of storytelling through cinema with a fun and affordable film festival with something for everyone to enjoy. Activities are conveniently located within walking distance of our historic theater downtown.

Highlights from the 2020 festival are available HERE.
