Academy Street was closed off on Saturday, June 11th, for the 4th annual Pimento Cheese Festival.
Various food trucks lined the street offering dishes paired with pimento cheese. Of course, there was plenty more to offer for those who aren’t fans of cheese or the lactose intolerant. There was a wide range of meals from the food trucks and local breweries were there to supply beverages.
Between eating and drinking, there was live music and a messy pimento cheese sculpting contest for both children and adults.
Despite concern for potential thunderstorms, the sun stayed out the entire time, making it a pleasant afternoon for all who attended.
