Poppin’ Bottles: New Wine & Champagne Bar Coming Soon

It was a dream that is turning into reality.

“I literally had a dream one night that I owned a wine and champagne bar called RBF,” said Tiffany Welton.

For the full backstory behind the unique name, check out the RBF.wine website.

“I was miserable in Corporate America, and Michael (Tiffany’s husband) and I would sit and talk and think about what I really wanted to do,” added Tiffany.

She had that fateful dream, and now here they are. And, it didn’t come without some major time commitment and change.

“It’s been an incredible amount of time given. We met a little over 3-years ago, and we moved here from Phoenix almost 11-months ago. So, there’s been a lot of time dedicated to that and at the same time getting here and getting to know the area, and possible vendors and clients. It’s been hours-and-hours, but it’s a labor of love, because it’s so new for both of us,” said Michael Seaver, a long-time Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant.

RBF: Your Authentic Champagne Bar will be located right below Bull City Ciderworks on E. Chatham. It’s a great location, in that ever-expanding part of Downtown Cary. Both Tiffany and Michael agree, the vibe in downtown as been welcoming from day one.

“I’ve lived in bigger cities that felt very competitive, but in coming here we’ve talked to a lot of our neighbors and they have all said, “just tell us how we can help you.” I think that’s really special. It’s so much easier to work together and have this collaboration,” said Tiffany.

As for the feel once you arrive at RBF when their doors open later this Fall (they’re hoping for something in the October to November timeframe), “We hope this is a place where you can come and feel like family. You are heard here, you are seen here and you are accepted here. It’s going to feel like a living room, because we want people to feel welcome here,” added Michael.

A somewhat unique business model is their no-tipping plan.

“We are proud to offer a no-tipping model for RBF. This means that our menu pricing reflects a living wage and sick leave for employees. We hope to include healthcare and profit sharing once RBF gets up and going. We love being able to support the community this way.”

Go check out their social media accounts and their website. You can even chip-in through a Fundable campaign to help them cross the finish line.

We’ll swing by when the doors are open and we look forward to raising a glass with you soon!
