It’s Cider Time in Cary

The landscape of downtown is every-changing, and we love to see new neighbors and businesses making a home in Cary.

One of the newest businesses to set up shop is Bull City Ciderworks; the Cary location is currently (as of March 16, 2022) operating under a “soft opening” which means you can find them open on Thursdays between 4-9pm and on Friday-Sunday between 2-9pm. They anticipate their grand opening for March 19th, but check-in with them to confirm that!

We swung by the new location to meet with Aiden Sisson, the manager. Bull City Ciderworks creates most of their cider at their Lexington location, and they have cideries in Durham, Greensboro, and now Cary too!

The first thing you might recognize about Bull City’s Cary location is the front of the building. That’s right, it’s the historic Williams House, a welcome sight for downtown Cary friends and families.

“It’s classic Cary to have the historic site as the front of our cidery,” said Aiden.

Aiden told us, “we’re really excited to now call Cary home, along with our other locations. It’s cool to come into a place where there are a lot of small businesses who are distinct. We think we are distinct too, and we’re excited to add what we offer to that landscape here.”

As for the new location, Bull City Ciderworks is right across the street from the complex that houses Bond Brothers, SideBar, Pizzeria Faulisi and Pro’s Epicurean (and more).

Aiden says that they have great relationships with their neighbors across the street, and in addition to having food trucks stop by they also keep menus from the food spots across the street on hand. Aiden told us about a collaboration with Bond Brothers that they have on tap as well. We had a taste of it, and it’s great!

“There are so many good breweries and food and beverage spots in this area, and as cider continues to gain popularity, it’s just nice for us to be part of that growth in the craft industry while also having a chance to educate people about what we are and what we create here,” said Aiden.

Bull City Ciderworks has 13 offerings on tap and they will announce their expanded hours soon, so stay tuned. In addition to selling their cider, they will also sell beer, wine and cider cocktails.
