Winner of WRAL’s Best Local Artist of 2022 and the 2019 iHeart Radio One Eighty Music songwriter’s contest, Garland is a passionate singer with unbelievable range and heart. Heritage Leadership Academy Presents The Little Mermaid

Run Time: 130 Minutes, 15 Minute Intermission Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible well-loved songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” Worried about your little prince or princess making noise, wanting to dance, or even might want to sing along with Ariel? Well this is the show for you! We want theatre to reach all in the community and give each family a night to remember, under the SEA! Our FREE preshow activities begin at 4:30 and includes:  Face Painting Balloon artist Photo Booth with Ariel Raffle prizes Crafts and more! Performance will be slightly modified for our more sensitive patrons. Modifications: For the hearing impaired, a live sign language interpreter, will be interpreting the entire show! House lights remain slightly dim during the show. A quiet corner in the lobby for those who need a break from the show. Live Music: An Evening with Dan Rodriguez

The Cary Theater 122 E Chatham St, Cary

Singer/song writer Dan Rodriguez brings his guitar and his songs about life and love to the Cary Theater. Rodriguez grew up in Detroit and moved to Minneapolis at age 18 to study music. He describes himself as a “whiskey and beer drinking, fishing and hunting loving, motorcycle riding, quality food eating, hippie sympathizing, people loving, husband and father.” In 2014, Budweiser released its “Friends Are Waiting” commercial campaign featuring Rodriguez singing his song “When You Come Home.” It premiered during the Super Bowl and began his breakthrough to the mainstream.
