Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus Presents

Cary Arts Center 101 Dry Ave, Cary

Triangle Gay Men's Chorus presents Joel Thompson's The Seven Last Words of the Unarmed. On the evenings of Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18, the Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus will present a Social Justice themed concert, a poignant homage to lives marred by the scourge of police violence and systemic inequity. This evocative event will be anchored by two profoundly moving musical compositions: Joel Thompson's The Seven Last Words of the Unarmed and Alysia Lee's Say Her Name. The Saturday concert will take place at the Eno River UU Fellowship, while the Sunday concert will grace the stage at the Cary Arts Center. These emotionally charged pieces of music serve as a poignant reminder of the violence endured by Black men and women at the hands of both the state and vigilantes.
