A September Day in Downtown Cary
You don’t need a planned event to have fun on the weekend–you can plan your own fun!
Dog-Friendly Day Out
Try spending an afternoon with your best friend at the many dog-friendly breweries, coffee shops, and parks in downtown. Fresh Local Ice Cream has doggy ice cream, and Pharmacy has a bowl of treats. Take a trip to Ashworth’s to share a bite of hotdog with your pup, and take a walk around the Downtown Park.
Art and History Adventure
Spend the afternoon absorbing art and culture! Discover the incredible historic tales of Cary’s past in the beautiful Page-Walker Arts & History Museum or The Cary Arts Center. Take in a film at The Cary theatre, and stroll around to visit the many murals and creative sculptures.
A Foodie Wonderland
Take a culinary tour for your sweet tooth, visiting the local bakeries within walking distance of each other. Try the pumpkin apple bread at Once in a Blue Moon Bakery, the pumpkin macarons and pumpkin lattes at BREW Coffee Bar, or the sweet, crunchy, and creamy Bee Sting cake at Annelore’s German Bakery.
These are just a few ideas, from someone who loves to explore downtown! Check back next Wednesday, when I’ll round up more fun Fall events happening next weekend! See you then!
