Here’s What You Can Expect At The Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival

The 48th annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival is happening August 24th and 25th at Cary Town Hall Campus in Downtown Cary. Lazy Daze showcases over 250 artists from across the country, along with live entertainment, food vendors and activities for people of all ages. The event is still about a month away, but we’ve gathered some key information on what you should expect at Lazy Daze!

Arts Market

The Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival celebrates the “Lazy Daze” of summer, taking place the last weekend of August, and bringing together nearly 300 artists from 16 states across the U.S. Nearly 60,000 art lovers come to Lazy Daze every year to witness the announcing of the Jerry Miller Award Winners (the best in show artists!).

Entertainment

Throughout Lazy Daze, you can expect tons of live entertainment. The festival will feature four stages with a mix of live entertainment, including beach folk, jazz, bluegrass, reggae and more, along with roving entertainers throughout the festival. Take a look at the Saturday entertainment schedule, Sunday entertainment schedule, and the children’s entertainment schedule.

Kids Activities

Lazy Daze has lots of opportunities for kids of all ages to enjoy and experience the festival, including the Kid Collector’s Market, the Kids World outdoor play space, and the Play Zone indoor play space. There will be special Kids World entertainment (take a look at the entertainment schedule here). Kids can also participate in Lazy Daze Bingo, which keeps kids on the lookout for fun things throughout the festival and lets them turn in their completed bingo card for a prize. Finally, the Caretaker’s Retreat at the Page Walker Arts & History Center will be a dedicated space that provides a clean, comfortable and inclusive environment for nursing mothers and those with young children.

Festival Activities

Lazy Daze is much more than just an arts market. Activities you can experience at Lazy Daze include a chalk walk, art installations, artist demonstrations, art galleries, body marbling and more. For more on festival activities, take a look here.

Transportation

There are several options when it comes to transportation to Lazy Daze. The most convenient way is via the Festival Shuttle, which will be a free shuttle bus from Chiesi USA at Regency or Green Hope High School.
