Summertime is here and with it comes a bunch of new and exciting events. Check out some of the events that are happening in the month of June in Downtown Cary!
Cary Farmers Market
June 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 8:00 am at East Park Street
Join the Cary Farmers Market for the traditional market season along East Park St., next to Downtown Cary Park.
Find a wonderful lineup of vendors offering all locally made and locally grown items. Shop for freshly-harvested produce, humanely-raised meat, and artisan-made goods. Stop by the info booth to learn about their matching program for SNAP/EBT.
Children can also get their very own Farmers Market Passport and participate in the Eat-A-Rainbow program, which encourages children to eat healthy, nutritious foods. Learn more about the new location, nutrition programs, and other information on their website.
Attracting Wildlife & Birds

Each of us has a dramatic impact, either positive or negative, on biodiversity. Our choices in garden plants or even windowsill plants can make a huge difference in supporting the biodiversity that supports us. Join DCP Horticulturist, naturalist and Emmy-award winning personality Dr. Patrick McMillan to discover how DCP has been built for biodiversity and how we can make changes and additions to do the same at home.

Immerse your children in the vibrant world of music with Mr. Blue Shoes, a captivating program created by Michael Dyson, Grammy Award-winning producer, guitarist, and charismatic entertainer. With his trademark backwards baseball cap, iconic blue shoes, and comedic persona, Mr. Blue Shoes breaks the mold of a traditional Bluesman, delivering a one-of-a-kind experience for young audiences.

Juneteenth Celebration
June 15, 1:00 pm at Downtown Cary Park
Celebrated annually, Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger read federal orders in Galveston, Texas, that all previously enslaved Black people in the state were free. Today, Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. It is a day marked with celebrations and special gatherings.
Join us at the Park for a jubilant Juneteenth Celebration curated by Historian Darrell Stover! Get ready to groove to live music, indulge in delicious bites from food trucks, and explore vibrant vendors showcasing their work. It’s a day of unity, culture and joy for all!

CaryLive!: Nicotine Dolls

Free and open to the public, this enchanting experience welcomes all to come together, enjoy the rhythms, and bask in the beauty of community and music under the stars.
Nicotine Dolls is a NYC based Pop/Rock band formed in 2017 with lead singer Sam Cieri, Guitarist John Hays, Bassist John Merritt, and Drummer Abel Tabares.
The band has been steadily releasing singles and EPs since 2019. They have built a devoted and strong base through their successful Social Media engagement. The band’s most recent release “What Makes You Sad” was able to garner over 19k Pre-Saves and opened at #5 on the iTunes all Genre chart.
