IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO REALIZE A DREAM
Dreamfest is a weekend of events, both community and Cary sponsored, that celebrate the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin L. King Jr. During the holiday weekend, we present a diverse range of programs that explore topics such as equity, representation, and poverty while providing opportunities for community service. We welcome your participation in each of these events.
🧵 African American Quilt Circle Art Exhibit:
– Runs Jan. 5 – Feb. 3 at Page-Walker Arts & History Center

🎬 2024 Dreamfest Film Festival:
– Runs Jan. 11-14 at The Cary Theater
– Features “Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power” and “All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt”

📚 Dreamfest: Tellebration

– This is a free event for children with storytelling by Willa Brigham

🍽️Village Gathering Dinner:

👟 5K Walk for Hope:

– Support the homeless with personal hygiene donations

🌱 MLK Day of Service at Good Hope Farm:
– Jan. 15, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
– Volunteer to prepare the farm for spring planting
– Bring canned/nonperishable food items for donation
